Scar Tissue Prevention and Therapy
Scars arise as the body creates connective tissue in response to a wound to close any openings.
There are several types of scars. Hypertrophic scars are raised scars. Keloids are raised scars but extend beyond the original wound boundaries. The reason that these scars are raised is because of an excess in production of connective tissue. Keloid and hypertrophic scars treatment, therefore, seeks to smooth out and minimize extra tissue.
Other scar types might fall under the umbrella of atrophic scars, meaning those that leave depressions in the skin. These depressions exist because of a lack of skin tissue. The majority of acne scars are atrophic and can have wide-ranging appearances. To raise up these depressions, treatments include injections, excisions and cell regenerating creams. Most scars don't require medical attention but most feel that they are not pleasing to the eye. The body begins to increase production of skin cells and fibroblasts (connective tissue) to close the opening. The fibroblasts form a framework upon which the skin cells can migrate into and fill in the wound. The rate of fibroblasts vs. skin cells leads to the evidence of scars. When fibroblasts replicate faster than skin cells, the resulting scar is raised. If skin cell and fibroblast replication is equal, less scarring appears.
What can be done to minimize scar formation?
Unfortunately, there is no 100% cure for scar tissue. Despite this, you can still find an effective scar treatment to remove scar tissue and decrease the visibility of your scars.
Try checking out the rapidly emerging natural scar therapy market. These treatments combine different attack angles. For example, silicone scar therapy works great as a treatment of keloid scars as it works specifically (but only) at flattening raised scars. The best scar therapy will utilize different methods, including scar healing treatment and occlusion. A treatment that stimulates skin cells is necessary in the treatment of acne scars as most acne scars are depressed.
The most exciting scar removal products contain mucin, a natural regenerative substance produced by garden snails. This complex product, thanks to antibiotic and skin regenerating peptides, glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans, will digest excess skin tissue, clean pores, fend off infection and repair scars.
What it does:
* Regenerates new glycosaminoglycans which improves skin firmness and elasticity,
* Increase the production of water holding glycosaminoglycans which is true moisturizing,
* Improves the skin's blood vessel microcirculation,
* Increases the natural defense mechanism against oxidative damage, and
* Healing at the protective skin barrier.
Unlike most scar treatment products on the market today, BIOSKINREPAIR targets scar formation by addressing the root cause of scarring. As a natural scar therapy, BIOSKINREPAIR repairs keloid, hypertrophic, acne as well as burn scars, removing excess scar tissue and regenerating skin cells, making it a successful scar healing treatment.
