Natural Skin Care Treatments: A gentle way of Getting Healthier Skin

by Valerie DeVette

The latest rage in skin care are natural skin treatments. Unlike most traditional skin care products, natural ones are effective without causing secondary problems. But, the best part is that you can use natural skin treatments in the comfort of your home.

Making your own products is not difficult. Most recipes are simple, and you just need to make the time to mix a few ingredients together. You can also save quite a bit of money by making your own skin care treatments.

Popular Skin Care Ingredients

When looking for ingredients to make your natural skin care recipe, you need look no further than your garden, pantry, or refrigerator. However, some ingredients are more popular than others and these include:

*Aloe Vera

*Yogurt & Milk

*Oatmeal and Almonds

*Berries, Grapes, Lemons, Limes and Grapefruit

*Bananas

*Cucumbers & Avocados

*Olive Oil

Some of these ingredients can be combined to make facial masks. Others are excellent moisturizers or cleansers. If you want to give it a go, then here are just a few recipes you can try out.

Homemade Skin Treatments

Let's try and make an exfoliating "cream" for dry skin using oatmeal and grapefruit juice. Simply mix enough juice and oatmeal together to form a paste (you can also add ground almonds). Once the paste is made, apply to your skin and wash off with a moist washcloth.

Grated cucumber can be used as a tonic or place slices of cucumber on your eyes to reduce puffiness. It can also be mixed with milk or lime juice to make a gentle whitener.

An orange tonic recipe can also be used as an effective, natural scar treatment. Simply blanch and grind a couple of almonds to form a paste, add 1 tablespoons of carrot juice, 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1 tablespoon of orange juice.

Apply to the face and leave on for 30 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

Olive oil is an excellent moisturizer for dry skin that can also be used as a cleanser. Simply rub it onto your skin, let set a few minutes, and then remove with a warm, moist washcloth.

You can exfoliate dry skin by using a mixture of crushed berries. These foods contain a high concentration of antioxidants, which are excellent for treating the signs of aging. You may want to add them to your diet.

Bananas are another food that can be used in your diet or as a moisturizing facial peel. Simply mash one-fourth of a small banana, add whipped egg whites, and slowly add one tablespoon of cornstarch in as you continue to whip.

Apply a thin layer of the mixture to your face, let set for thirty minutes, then rinse off completely with warm water.

Natural skin care is beneficial, but at times a mess to deal with, however, if you still want the benefits of a natural acne scars cream or a skin burns treatment, without having to deal with the hassle of making one, try BIOSKINCARE. In fact, most natural homemade products are great for moisturizing and cleansing skin, but are incapable of helping prevent stretch marks like certain natural products, such as BIOBODYCREAM. Both products contain snail serum, which is a potent natural ingredient that can help you restore damaged skin safely and effectively without having to deal with the mess of making your own skin care product.
